Biographische Hinweise:
Ab 1929 Assistant Agricultural Economist am U.S. Department of Agriculture, ab 1935 Senior Agricultural Economist. 1937 wurde er leitender Wissenschaftler im Büro der Land-use Coordination (Landnutzungskoordinierung). Ab 1944 war er Chef-Analyst für Bodennutzung und Produktivität in der Soil Survey Division. 1949-1962 im Beratungsausschuss für Agrarforschung des Agricultural Research Service.
