Bemerkung:   Das Farbdia zeigt eine Ausstellungsansicht von Michael Buthes Ausstellung „Le Dieux de Babylon“, die vom 27. Januar bis 24. Februar 1974 im Kunstmuseum Luzern zu sehen war. Es handelt sich um Dia 16/18 einer Fotoserie (JCA1BUTH008–JCA1BUTH025). Die Wände eines länglichen, spärlich beleuchteten Raums sind mit roten Tüchern behängt, an die zwei großformatige Gemälde oder Assemblagen, die direkt aneinandergrenzen, gestellt wurden. Ihre Grenze wird durch einen Stock markiert, der ebenfalls an die Wand gestellt wurde. Das großformatige, rechteckige Gemälde zeigt auf blauem Hintergrund einen rot-gold leuchtenden Kreis, von dem Farbe und Glanz auf die Leinwand ausgeht. Im Zentrum der Kugel an der rechten Bildkante ist eine kleine Leinwand oder ein Brett angebracht, auf dem zwei goldene Kreise deutlich hervorstechen. Im Zentrum der rechten Leinwand hebt sich vor einem dunkelblauen, mit goldenen Sternen besetzten Hintergrund eine goldbraune Figur mit ausgebreiteten Armen hervor. Die Figur befindet sich auf einem goldroten Hintergrund, der ihren Körper umgibt. Links neben diesen beiden großformatigen Werken hängt ein gerahmtes Werk an der Wand, während ein weiteres Gemälde auf Papier vom Rand der Fotografie angeschnitten wird. Im Vordergrund ist eine Installation aus mehreren bunten, länglichen Holzelementen zu sehen. // The color slide shows an exhibition view of Michael Buthe’s exhibition “Le Dieux de Babylon,” which was on show at the Kunstmuseum Luzern from 27 January to 24 February 1974. This is slide 16/18 of a photo series (JCA1BUTH008–JCA1BUTH025). The walls of an elongated, sparsely lit room are hung with red cloths, against which two large-format paintings or assemblages have been placed directly adjacent to each other. Their border is marked by a stick, which has also been placed against the wall. The large-format, rectangular painting shows a glowing red and gold circle on a blue background, from which color and brilliance emanate onto the canvas. In the center of the sphere on the right edge of the image, there is a small canvas or board on which two golden circles stand out clearly.In the center of the right-hand canvas, a golden-brown figure with outstretched arms stands out against a dark blue background studded with golden stars. The figure stands on a golden-red background that surrounds her body. To the left of these two large-format works, a framed piece hangs on the wall, while another painting on paper is cropped at the edge of the photograph. In the foreground, an installation consisting of several colorful, elongated wooden elements can be seen.
