Bemerkung:   Es handelt sich um die erste Publikation des Londoner Künstlerduos Gilbert & George. Sie erschien in einer handschriftlich nummerierten Auflage von 500. Im MMK-Archiv befinden sich zwei Exemplare: 368/500 und 309/500. Das Heft hat 10 Blatt. In der Heftmitte befinden sich vier Bildtafeln mit Reproduktionen der Werke "Walking", "George by Gilbert and Gilbert by George","Relaxing" und "All my Life I give you nothing and still you ask for more". Der Text wurde ohne Punkt und Komma verfasst und erläutert in einem Satz die Abbildungen. Die Künstler betrachten das Heft in seiner als "Skulptur". Auf der letzten Seite befindet sich der rote Signetstempel von Gilbert & George "GG". Dem Heft ist eine kleine Karte der Galerie Konrad Fischer mit dem Text "Please accept this Booklet with the compliments of Konrad Fischer Gallery" eingelegt. Das Heft 309 wurde in einem postgestempelten Umschlag, der an Ammann handadressiert wurde, versendet. Das Datum des Poststempels ist unleserlich. Der Umschlag ist oben links mit dem Stempel "Delicate Balances of Viewing in Time" sowie rückseitig auf der Umschlaglasche mit einem roten Stempel "GG" versehen. Rückseitig befindet sich die Absenderadresse der Galerie Konrad Fischer. // This is the first publication by the artist duo Gilbert & George. It was published in a hand-numbered edition of 500. There are two copies in the MMK archive: 368/500 and 309/500. The booklet comprises 10 sheets. In the middle of the booklet are four plates with reproductions of the works "Walking," "George by Gilbert and Gilbert by George," "Relaxing" and "All my life I give you nothing and still you ask for more." The text was written without periods or commas and explains the pictures in one sentence. The artists regard the book in its entirety as a "sculpture." On the last page is the red Gilbert & George stamp "GG." The booklet is accompanied by a small note from the Konrad Fischer gallery which says: "Please accept this booklet with the compliments of Konrad Fischer Gallery." Number 309 was sent in a postmarked envelope hand-addressed to Ammann. The date of the postmark is illegible. The envelope is stamped "Delicate Balances of Viewing in Time" on the front at the upper left and "GG" in red on the flap on the back. On the back is also the address of the sender, Galerie Konrad Fischer.
